They are identified as 21-year-old Dayana Macarena Peralta, who occasionally resided with the victims, and her partner, 25-year-old Axel Emiliano Crisito. The couple was intercepted by the La Pampa police on National Route 188, between the towns of Quetrequén and Maisonnave, close to the border with San Luis. The accused are believed to have used the days since the crime to attempt to flee the province. The arrest was achieved thanks to a coordinated operation involving the police forces of San Luis, Mendoza, Córdoba, and La Pampa.
